Hot Pink & Black Chic

I am sorry about the lack of posts for a while. Since I've been back in school for another degree of Graphic Design, I've been so busy. Thank you all for stopping by. Today's outfit features this pretty  textured dot blouse and I'm wearing gold jewelry. There is something so striking about gold and black paired together.

It wasn't quite as warm as I thought today, but I brought out these mini wedge sandals I purchased from Old Navy last year and believe it or not I never wore them last year but now I am in love with them. Isn't it funny how sometimes we buy something and at the time never wear it, but then we end up wearing it months or even years later? The low wedge heel makes these easy to walk in for a full day of work on on the go. They are about an inch and a half tall. 

I've popped my mostly black outfit with this gorgeous hot pink Kate Spade purse. You can't go wrong with a little splash of hot pink.

Oversized Pearls & Hot Pink

I definitely have a lot of pearls, but lately I was looking for a big, chunky Pearl cluster necklace. I found this one on etsy.com. There's just something about oversized creamy pearls that just makes me happy! When it comes to accessories, I love anything oversized that really makes a statement. More is definitely more in my book.

This skirt I purchased over the summer and is one of my favorites starting with its color of course, but it's also one of the most comfortable pencil skirts I own. This bag was a limited edition Target find several years ago and it still remains one of my favorites. Mixing older pieces with newer pieces can give you a whole new look and make you feel like you're wearing a new outfit. Jewelry can totally transform an outfit and make it feel completely different and new!

Black & White Prints

Black and white never goes out of style. Black especially is that color that looks great on everyone and is that one color that can be worn all year long and look incredibly chic. 

I recently picked up this skirt from Burlington Coat Factory for an amazing price and it is by far one of my favorites! It's so comfortable and I love the split front detail in the front. I paired this fabulous skirt with a simple black tee and spiced it up with patent leather t-strap heels and layers of mixed metal chains.

Bold is Better

I went into Charming Charlie because of course it's my favorite store! I mean color-coordination city, hello!!! Fabulous! It's no secret I love a good statement necklace, and the bolder and bigger the better for that matter! This one just screamed me when I saw it and it looks amazing with red!

Snow Leopard + Patent Leather

It's no secret that I love leopard! I love this snow leopard skirt I picked up at Clothes Mentor. It's so fabulous paired with my classy t-strap Charles Jourdan heels. It also has some great pockets with leather trim! Mixed metal necklaces add some interest to this classy look.

Fabulous Shoes Make for a Fabulous Closet

As we know, a fabulous closet is full of beautiful shoes! Every girl's dream! Well, you don't have to spend a ton to have a fabulous closet. These Calvin Klein Diema calf hair kitten heels are perfect for work and beyond! I had been looking for these for a long time before I found them on shoes.com. Since purchasing them, I knew that they would be forever a staple in my wardrobe. They were a bit of a splurge for me, but since I walk around a lot at work, I need sensible shoes as well as ones that aren't going to fall apart.

Trendy items come and go, but if you are going to splurge, I'd suggest splurging on a fabulous pair of leopard heels. They go with just about anything and will take you through all of the seasons! The Calvin Klein Diems are no longer available at shoes.com, but I have linked several similar styles below. Sam Edelman, one of my favorite brands, has a very similar kitten heel style that is very classy. who else agrees that a fabulous pair of leopard heels is a must for fall. and a wardrobe staple that you will wear for years.  Leopard is truly a classic and a neutral that pairs so well with almost anything!

I scored this fabulous leopard rug at Ross Dress for Less and it has been one of my favorites and is at the entry of of closet. My love for leopard is never-ending.

My Birthday!

I had such a fabulous day today! Getting older isn't so bad when you're surrounded by amazing people! It is sometimes hard to accept growing older, but it is actually a privilege denied by many. Turning 26 isn't too bad. I have so much to look forward to and so much more to accomplish! 

 Of course, I had to celebrate my birthday in style with this bright pink blouse from Marshalls. My boyfriend was so sweet and got me these amazing pink roses, which are such a beautiful color pink! My parents, siblings, friends, and co-workers are amazing too!

Leopard Flats

Leopard Flats. Talk about a staple in a woman's wardrobe! They can be paired with ripped jeans and a simple black tee for a chic casual look or dressed up when worn with a little black dress. There are so many possibilities with leopard. I think that might be why it's my favorite neutral. It can literally be paired with anything and being glamour and sophistication, whether it be your outfit or room.

These are my favorite leopard flats I have found so far. They are the ElusionL flat by Steve Madden. Seriously, they are the most comfortable flats!! I love the calf hair detail and they are a little pricey for flats, but they are so worth it. I've worn mine several times and they are really great quality.

Colors of the Rainbow

Some days you just need to create your own sunshine or in my case rainbow. These heels have been one of my favorites since I purchased them early this summer. I love the watercolor design and that they pretty much go with anything. They are a perfect 2" heel for work or a night out.

This new statement necklace is simply fabulous! I recently bought this one at Charming Charlie and have been obsessed ever since. This statement necklace has an ombré effect that is a unique touch. I love the pop it gives against a black top! I love this pairing of black and teal with cobalt blue.
